A GOAL FOR gods: THE BALE IS ON
In a mouthwatering final seeing end to end stuffs from both teams, Gareth Bale produces what can be the greatest ever UCL final goal.
After coming on in the second half to replace Isco, he produces a masterclass. The goal that came as a result of a cross from Marcelo saw the Welsh international make an overhead kick that beats Lloris Karius. The German goalkeeper had no chance as he stood still and watch the ball loop into his net.
The first half was a listless one which had no goals and two injuries in both camps. Salah had a broken shoulder from a challenge with Ramos and Dani Carvajal also had an early shower in tears just as Salah. But the second half was brought to lite after a defensive howler from Karius.
The ex-Spurs attacker has 3 goals in as many games in this seasons UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. But this goal will be looking to break the record as the all-time goal in the UCL final. With Los Blancos’ manager currently holding that record with his blister in 2002.
The record breaking attacker had his second of the night on the 83rd minute of the game. With another error from Karius who had a better record as against Keylor Navas coming into the game.
It was all joy on the path of the Madrid boys at the end of the whistle. Where there beat their British counterparts by 3-1. Which raises their tally to 13 UCL trophies and their 4th in 5 years and 3rd in 3 years. So can they make it to 14 next season? Over to you Zizou!
