GHANA WINS BID OVER EGYPT TO HOST ALL AFRICAN GAMES.

By  |

After the fiasco that hit Ghana football association, the sports ministry is doing a great job and needs to be commended.

On the 17 of November to 1 December, the country will host the 2018 African Women Cup of Nation, a tournament which everyone thought Ghana will loose the right.

Another intriguing thing the government through the Youth and Sports Ministry was bid to host the 2023 All-Africa Games.

During an interview with Happy FM on Thursday, Ghana Olympic Committee chief Ben Nunoo Mensah confirmed that the country have been awarded the rights to host the games ahead of Egypt.

This will be the first time Ghana will be hosting the competition and will join the likes of Congo Brazzaville, Mali, Nigeria, Algeria, Kenya, Egypt, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique as the only countries to have hosted the event.

The question is “Do we have the facilities to host all the sports disciplines?”
