It was all joy and gratifying at the British Council Hall Yesterday Evening to witness the maiden edition of the “O Skull Sankofa Lecture” by Ark Media.
The ‘O’ Skull Lecture, which was an initiative of Ark Media was to bring together great past students of Senior High Schools to educate the public on the refined old values of their respective schools that propelled them to success. the event was not only meant to celebrate these alumni but also to tackle the fallen standard of education in recent times.
Six speakers from some of the renowned Institutions in Ghana mounted the stage to engage the audience with their School’s history, core values, infrastructures, Religious life, Music Bands and other subjects of interests. The speakers include Mr Kwamina Assan – St. Johns sekondi,
Mr. Vesper Amoah – Mawuli Senior High, Nana Asare – Prempeh College, Mr Ebo Gyebi – Opoku Ware Senior High, Mr. Adjei Bisa – Achimota Senior High and Mr.Nii Quansah Abbey-Ashong – Accra Academy.
These great old students took a mental flight in history with us, as they kept educating, informing and even boasting about the good old values of their Alma mater. Indeed it was moments of reincarnating those nostalgic feelings of the institutions in the good old days. Participants of the ‘O’ Skull Lecture included Old students, Students, Teachers, Stake holders and the General public.
According to the CEO of Ark Media, Stephen Ato Eshun, this event has come to stay as it will be held annually in the month of July. He also urged the general public to eagerly look forward to their next event in the month of August which is the Pop Chain Music Competition and the Vintage Cars Show.
