GHANAIAN YOUTH JUBILATE OVER VEEP’S ‘ULTIMATE FARMER REALITY SHOW’
A section of the Ghanaian youth are already excited and expectant of The Vice President’s intentions to support the first of its kind “Ultimate Farmer Reality Show”. This came out after the publications from the New Crusading Guide and the Ghanaian Observer of Wednesday 22nd February 2017 edition announcing plans of the launch of the Ultimate farmer reality Show. Majority of the tertiary students we interacted with regarding the Agric reality show are of the view that the show will not only encourage them into agribusiness but also tackle youth unemployment.
Our reporters went to the Office Of The Organization that is set to roll out this Reality Show, CIEDOM-HOG International and had an interview with the Director of Communication and Media Relations, Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin.
He said the Ultimate Farmer Reality Show is not just a reality show, it’s a business venture, according to him, the organization has identified the various agribusinesses along the value chain of agriculture and has developed them into modules that will be rolled out through the show to offer insight and advocacy whiles entertaining its viewers at the same time. One young lady we met at the office confirmed that she is thrilled by a business idea the organization is helping her roll out.
CIEDOM – HOG International in partnership with the University of Cape Coast School of Agriculture and other partnering institutions present ‘THE ULTIMATE FARMER REALITY SHOW’ to encourage and coax the Youth into Agribusiness ventures. The prime motive of the ULTIMATE FARMER REALITY SHOW is to whip the interest of the African youth into farming and its related Agribusiness in an edutainment way to reduce food insecurity.
The maiden edition of the show will be filmed in Ghana with the use of entertainment medium of a television reality show to display the interesting, exciting and profitable side of Agribusiness. The subsequent seasons will be extended to other African countries. The show pits teams of 9 college graduates PLUS ONE STREET SMART group (each team comprising of 5 members) against each other to find out who will be the ultimate farming team.
The organization believes the show is one of the defined solutions to the ‘one district one Factory’ policy of the government. The Curators of the show will soon launch the Ultimate Farmer Reality Show as stated in early reports.

Dr. Kwesi Opoku-Debrah; an International agriculture and business consultant, Dr Cephas Narh; adjunct lecturer , central University,

Herman Chinery-Hesse of softtribe,
and a host of renowned broadcasters, business men, companies and institutions.
The Organization is currently in the process of extending franchise of the Ultimate Farmer Reality Show to a Nigerian entity that is capable of its accomplishment. He also added that the team is also in partnership discussions with the leaders of NUGS and AASU for ultimate farmer Ghana and Africa respectively.
The organisation is calling on individuals, government institutions, Students, Regional groups, the Media, Organized Private Sectors and all stake holders of Agribusiness to collectively support the THE ULTIMATE FARMER REALITY SHOW to eradicate poverty from Africa.
